CALLED: the memoir of our founder, Dr Nina Meyerhof
Children of the Earth is proud to share that our founder, Dr Nina Meyerhof, has written a memoir — CALLED: A Memoir of Becoming — published in August 2026 and available at booksellers worldwide.
From the shadows of Holocaust trauma to the world stage of peacebuilding, CALLED is the story of one woman’s journey to discover her soul’s purpose. Part spiritual journey, part global adventure, and part call to action, it follows Nina across more than one hundred countries as she listens to the quiet whispers of her soul. It is a book for anyone searching for meaning, purpose and hope — and especially for younger people aspiring to a life of transformational activism.
Educator, humanitarian, peacebuilder and spiritual activist, Nina shares the experiences that shaped her mission to empower young people and heal divisions. Rooted in family history and reaching toward a global future, CALLED explores resilience, forgiveness, and the profound truth of our interconnectedness — a moving reminder that the journey to change the world begins within.
CALLED summons us to remember who we are, to serve what is greater than ourselves, and to walk the path from “I” to “We” to “One.”
Born into a lineage marked by the Holocaust and called “Little Buddha” from childhood, Nina has for over five decades followed a single question — “What’s next?” — into service across more than 100 countries: from the United Nations to classrooms to refugee camps. As founder of Children of the Earth, she has invited others everywhere to discover their voice, awaken their purpose, and step into action for our shared human family. Her work continues in her co-visionary role with the One Humanity Institute in Oświęcim, Poland — near Auschwitz, where remembrance meets renewal.
Ask your soul, “What’s next?” Listen. It is a calling. It is your becoming.
